*- Parameters are defined using potato. Capacity is checked at 90% of completely peeled potatoes. A tuber is considered peeled when peel remains in the recesses and in no more than three unpeeled areas (with maximum size from 1 to 3 mm) on the remaining surface.
Composition and functionality of root crop peelers
The machine consists of a housing with grid, lid, motor and peel pulp collector.
1 - Housing; 2 - Lid; 3 – Control unit; 4 – Grid; 5 - Disc; 6 - Shaft;
7 - Drive; 8 – Electrical equipment; 9 - Bracket; 10 - Peel pulp collector; 11 - Drain tube;
12 - Nipple adapter; 13 – Discharge hatch; 14 – Illuminated “Start-Stop” button
Machine operation is based on peeling potatoes and other root crops under mechanical action of working tools.
Machine operation is based on removal of peel from onions and other root crops by mechanical action of peeling tools.
Water is supplied to the housing Through a hose with a nipple. Total consumption: not more than one and a half liters of water per kilogram of the product to be peeled (water pressure - 260 kPa).
Opened the lid for feeding and load the previously washed and cleaned product into the housing (peel the onion to stems and necks). Close the lid. Supply water. Use time relay knob to set the required operating cycle time. Switch ON the machine by pressing “START” button.
Peel the product and ensure that peel pulp and water are drained from the machine. It is necessary to clean the grid of the peel pulp collector.
After the end of the peeling process, place a container under discharge door to collect the peeled product, shut off water supply, carefully open the discharge door and unload the peeled product. Efficiency of peeling is shecked visually.
At the end of operation, turn circuit breaker OFF.
The machine should be maintained clean and entirely assembled. It is allowed to use hair brushes or cloth for cleaning. Handle disc with care when sanitizing manually.
Transportation
The machine should be transported from the place of receipt to the place of installation and mounting in factory package. After machine unpacking, check delivery set in accordance with paragraph 1.3 of Operating Manual.
Mounting
The place of machine installation should ensure safety and ease of operation and maintenance. It should comply with sanitary standards, fire safety requirements, labor safety instructions and mounting guide.
The machine should be installed on a foundation and secured with four M12 anchor bolts.
